The City of Fullerton is providing sand and sandbags at three locations in the community for residents concerned about possible flooding due to the heavy rainstorms.

The sand and bags may be obtained at the following three locations:

– Fullerton Fire Station 1 – 312 E. Commonwealth Ave. (east of Lemon Street)

– Fullerton Fire Station 5, 2555 Yorba Linda Blvd. (just east of State College Boulevard).

– Fullerton Maintenance Services Department, 1580 W. Commonwealth Ave. (sand will be on the lot at the southwest corner of Basque and Commonwealth, across from the Maintenance Services’ employee parking lot.)

Residents are advised to put no more than a scoop and a half of sand in each bag, and they will be limited to 15 bags per trip to prevent possible weight damage to their vehicles.

For further information, contact the Fullerton Maintenance Services Department at (714) 738-6897 or the Fullerton Public Information Office at (714) 738-6317.
