Project Healing Waters…Making Christmas Tree Decorations

Teaching Vets to tie flies that are inserted into a glass bulb for a Christmas tree decoration.  In this video we are tying a Chrismas colored Wooley Bugger  I am sorry but I didn’t get a picture of the finished product. I will try and get one and post it here later. Our next outing will be a trip to The West Fork of the San Gabriel River to teach disabled Veterans how to fly fish….

The first picture is where we launched in the morning.  I guess I didn’t get any pictures of the outside of the cabin.  Then you’ll see our first fish on of the morning.  Then we take a mid day break !

This is a 11 mile float trip from 9 mile bridge to the ocean. At the end of the day you are dropped off back at 9 mile  bridge and you float 2 miles downriver to a government cabin..I’ll post those pictures next week.
